Dakota Alpha is a 20 bed residential facility, licensed as a Skilled Nursing Facility, serving individuals with brain injuries or physical disabilities located in Mandan, ND. We have 9 beds licensed for individuals with brain injuries needing long-term placement and 11 beds licensed for individuals needing transitional rehab services. Transitional services mean the length of stay is limited and usually lasts between two months and two years. Dakota Alpha offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies, independent living skills training, cooking instruction, social services, recreational activities, and dietary services. We are staffed 24 hours a day by professional nursing staff. Services are provided under the supervision of a consultant medical doctor, psychologist, and other community consultants.

Dakota Pointe is a 10 bed residential facility, licenses as a Basic Care Facility, that provides individuals who have a brain injury with a home-like atmosphere in Mandan, ND. With trained staff on duty 24 hours a day, the program is designed to provide structure and to creatively meet the needs of each individual by providing him/her the opportunity to achieve their highest level of independence. He/she will work on a variety of daily living skills which include cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, personal hygiene, setting up transportation, and acquiring work or volunteer work. The individual will also work on the self-esteem and attend support groups focusing on brain injuries. Each resident has a private room and will have access to a large exercise room, activity room, and a spacious open area that includes a kitchen, dining room, and living room.

Heartview offers walk-in evaluations Monday through Thursday for outpatient services. Heartview also operates the H.E.A.R.T. family program, a free group for family members of those with a substance use disorder.
HIT's Brain Injury Transitional Program provides support for adults with an organic or acquired brain injury. These supports are provided by trained staff at the individual's home or in the community. Participation in the transitional program is unlimited as far as the duration. Individual circumstances decide what the course length and amount of support needed will be. The mission for the transitional program is to provide structured support where all persons have an opportunity to exercise decision-making capabilities and remain socially active in the community.
